University Farms Program Coordinator

Position Summary

The University Farms Program Manager will provide coordination and administrative support for faculty and staff at Lincoln University Farms, serving as a liaison between farm staff and researchers, extension personnel, faculty members, students, and the general public.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Consistently communicate with the Farm Superintendent, Farm Managers, Assistant Farm Managers, Researchers, University Extension personnel, Technicians, casual employees and student workers, regarding farm programs, events, and activities.
• Schedule and coordinate farm tours, workshops, and events.
• Assist with farm budget management, inventory, and work orders.
• Manage University Farm webpages, social media, and promotional activities.
• Manage departmental calendar, schedule meetings, coordinate event planning and travel arrangements.
• Actively assist Farm Superintendent and staff with farm tasks with livestock. research plots, and demonstration activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in MS Office suite and Colleague
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and keep organized records
• Interpersonal skills appropriate to operate within a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
• General knowledge of agriculture

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, or GED, is required.
• Three years of administrative or clerical experience is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outside in extreme environmental conditions.
• Ability to work in various agricultural settings.
