Student Health Project Coordinator

Position Summary

The student health project coordinator will provide a wide range of administrative support to the Director of Student Health, and Department Staff. Manages the day-to-day details within the department. Establishes and reviews internal and external processes for improved departmental operations. Supports the Student Health Services Director and professional staff with tasks while serving as the first point of contact for the public, healthcare providers, students, faculty, and staff.



Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities


• Supports the department's operational functions by preparing personnel action forms, authorizations, and security maintenance for departmental files.

• Assesses and tracks departmental budgets and reconciles purchases made by the department and prepares relevant departmental reports.

• Serve as a source of info1mation and direction throughout event/meeting planning and execution; assist in developing staffing plans and distributing as necessary; provide assistance with event day logistics and clean-up.

• Management and development of office operational procedures that encourage and support productivity and efficiency.

• Support major projects, which include but are not limited to health fairs, special events, programs, etc.

• Mentoring, training, and coaching professional and student staff with delegating tasks and procedures to ensure maximum productivity.

• Daily informal oversight of student staff and/or interns as required by the Director.

• Extensive internal face-to-face contact, telephone, email, and other mediums of dialogue with university personnel, professional staff, faculty, students, and significant interaction with external healthcare providers daily.

• Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


• Must have excellent organizational, communication, and social skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suit, including Word and Excel, and have notable skills in processing spreadsheets.

• Experience maintaining budgets.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.

• Self-starting and able to work consistently without direct supervision.

Education and Experience


• Associate's degree is preferred.

• At least two years' experience working in an office management position is required.

• Experience working in a higher education institution is preferred.


Physical Requirements


• Light sedentary office work.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
