Research Technician II

Position Summary

The Research Technician II will run experiments, and assist the principle investigator in daily operation and effort and in achieving the research objectives of multiple research projects in Bio-Technology

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Run experiments using a wide range of spectroscopy.
• Conduct laboratory analysis, compile results and publication of scientific findings.
• Oversee the day to day operations of the lab.
• Assist students with laboratory exercises and research projects, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A broad understanding of Agriculture and Environmental Science is required.
• Experience in running experiments using a wide range of spectroscopy instruments including fluorimeter, nano-drop, mass-spectroscopy, PCR, and others.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Environmental Science, or related field is required.

Physical Requirements

• Light sedentary office work.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
