Research Analyst 1

Position Summary

The Research Analyst assists the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment with planning, administering, and evaluating institutional research activities and the assessment processes to support and advance the goals and objectives of Lincoln University.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Conducts queries to extract data, cross-checks and cleanses data, and manipulates and analyzes data to accurately create and complete internal and external reports.
• Completes surveys from various publishers seeking information about Lincoln University and assists with the filing of federal and state reports.
• Assists in the collection and organization of data, reports, and other documentation to support Lincoln University's accreditation process.
• Responds timely to internal and external requests for information and effectively collaborates with other team members in the design of projects and assessment activities.
• Assists in the collection of survey data, effective analysis of data, and the reporting of survey results in the proper format.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to accurately document project work and effectively manage multiple, simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while maintaining the accuracy of reporting.
• Advanced understanding of data extraction, analysis, and reporting methods and techniques.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to establish and foster effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and other team members via open communication.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, or other relevant fields.
• Three years of work experience in a higher education setting is preferred.
• Two years of experience working with large data sets, extraction, analysis, and reporting required.
