Project Specialist for Graduate and Extended Studies

Purpose:

The Project Specialist for Graduate and Extended Studies will provide administrative support to the Graduate and Extended Studies Department. They will interact directly with students and staff to ensure the office is available to all constituents. The project specialist will assist with enrollment processes for all programs supported by Graduate and Extended Studies.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Graduate student recruitment may include preparation of materials.
• Admit students applying to dual credit, dual enrollment, and graduate school.
• Respond to requests for information.
• Maintain and update student files for BLS, Prime Power School, and graduate school.
• Assist with events hosted by Graduate and Extended Studies.
• Collect, analyze, and prepare data for presentation.
• General office maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of budgets and budget management.
• Ability to work with data in a variety of formats.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or 10 years related experience in higher education.
• Knowledge of Colleague, Self-Service, and Excel.
• Previous experience in graduate studies and liberal studies preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Light sedentary office work.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
