Project Coordinator - University Advancement

Purpose:

The purpose of this job is to work closely with the Director of Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association. This position will be responsible for the data entry and updating of all alumni data as well as providing data in report form.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Enter constituent data for alumni address updates, constituent demographics, email and all related fields in Blackbaud Raisers Edge.
  • Continually research lost alumni through alumnifinder.com and record information in Blackbaud Raisers Edge.
  • Update Blackbaud database to reflect change of address information.
  • Enter detailed data for recent graduates into Blackbaud Raisers Edge after graduation.
  • Input data from Alumni update forms each fiscal year. Execute annual database clean-up activity.
  • Conduct email verification, update database and forward messages to constituents in mass via email.
  • Perform queries as needed for chapters.
  • Functions as receptionist for the Alumni Office, reservationist for Memorial Hall as needed in preparing program for class reunions.
  • Establish and oversee volunteer programs for retired and professor emeriti.
  • Participate in university activities.
  • Collate notes for Alumni Line publications and Raisers Edge, which includes collecting class notes, researching newspaper articles for marriages, professional information and deceased alumni.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in Raisers Edge software.
  • Expert in using all technical equipment in Alumni Affairs Office.
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Facility management skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Light sedentary office work.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
