Nursing Faculty - Assistant Professor

Position Summary

The Assistant Professor will assist in recruitment of nursing program, provide instructional supervision for nursing students in diverse hospital and healthcare practicums, and serve as an academic advisor and professional role model for nursing students.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Commitment to the philosophy and outcomes of Lincoln University's Associate of Science Degree Program in Nursing.
• Provide nursing education that prepares students to practice professional nursing in healthcare systems.
• Prepare nursing students for undergraduate studies in nursing.
• Assist in recruitment efforts.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate professional development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Work collaboratively with nursing faculty.
• Maintain instructional equipment and other resources.
• maintain appropriate record of student performance and attitude.
• Function within the rules and regulations of Lincoln University and the College of Business and Professional Studies.

Education and Experience

• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Missouri, in good standing.
• Master's in nursing degree with appropriate experience - at least two years of academic or clinical nursing practice.

Physical Requirements

• Light sedentary office work.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
