Janitor - Caruthersville MO

Position Summary

The Janitor will maintain and protect the external and internal appearance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be experience in a janitorial role, diligently focused on building upkeep, have great physical endurance to cover a large space, and a keen eye for detail.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Ensures spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers, and restock disposables.
• Wipe mirrors and windows.
• Maintain outer premises by watering plants, mowing lawn, and cleaning entrances.
• Utilizes insecticides to prevent infestation by dangerous pests.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs.
• Report major damages and oversees repairs.
• Secure facilities after operating hours.
• Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Kneen eye for detail.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, and floor maintenance.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Janitorial or custodian experience is required.

Physical requirements

• Some lifting and furniture movement may be required to clean properly.
