Director of Inclusion, Learning, and Organizational Development

Purpose:

The Director of Inclusion, Learning, and Organizational Development will promote the growth and success of the University by developing and implementing comprehensive training programs, leading organizational development initiatives, and fostering a positive and inclusive culture. Under the direction of the Executive Director & Chief HR Officer (CHRO), this role will assess organizational needs, design, implement and evaluate professional development and continuous learning programs that support Lincoln University's strategic plan, mission, and goals. The Director of Inclusion, Learning, and Organizational Development must have excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and faculty.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Training Program Development: Design, develop, implement and oversees the delivery of comprehensive training programs, including in person, virtual and on demand training sessions that aligns with the university's goals and objectives.
  2. Needs Assessment: Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for employee development.
  3. Curriculum Design: Create and update training materials, manuals, and eLearning content.
  4. Leadership Development: Design and deliver programs for supervisors and managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvements.
  5. Performance Tracking: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback and performance metrics.
  6. Compliance Training: Ensure all mandatory compliance training is conducted and documented in accordance with universities policies and regulations.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development to continuously improve training offerings.
  8. Designs college-wide retention strategies to engage employees and provides needed professional development and employee recognition systems.
  9. Collaborates with other HR staff on employee programs and initiatives.
  10. Prepares and delivers presentations, facilitates meetings on program services and issues, and attends professional conferences and training sessions, as required.
  11. Strategic thinker with the ability to reprioritize when necessary.
  12. Strong organization and time management skills.
  13. perform other duties as assigned.

  1. Be a champion for the University's culture, promoting core values, and driving employee morale.
  2. Effectively communicate and present varied and complex information to small and large groups of varied constituents.
  3. Be critical in creating a positive and inclusive workplace that attracts and retains top talent.
  4. Vast knowledge of computer technology for communication, data gathering and reporting.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field; master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in training and development, organizational development, or related field, including two years of supervisory experience in Human Resources.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:

  1. Experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  2. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  3. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels of the university.
