Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Purpose:

The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the aspects of operation and team management including recruitment, training, coaching, fundraising, and retention of qualified student-athletes. These duties should be completed in a manner that is consistent with the Core Values of Lincoln University and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).

Essential Job Functions:

• Coach at practice/games and work individually with student-athletes on skills development.
• Teach sport-specific fundamentals and strategies to student-athletes.
• Set up for practice and home competition.

• Excellent writing, oral, communication interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Attentive to details, active listener, and demonstrate emotional intelligence.
• Ability to promote an ethical and professional work culture focusing on providing exceptional service to Lincoln University students, alumni, donors, colleagues, and other University stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external constituent groups.
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, forecast, and plan.
• Ability to accept and implement positive changes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, 1-2 years' experience related to college athletics.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:

• Familiarity with NCAA Division II rules and regulations and women's soccer.
• Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite).
• First Aid/CPR Certification.

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer.
• Domestic traveling and standing on the field.
• outside weather conditions vary from heat to cold conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
