Position Summary

The Assistant Professor in Biology supports the Master of Science in Natural Sciences and undergraduate programs, including those in Biology, Agriculture, Nursing, Education, and various pre-professional programs.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Biology and research in Biology.
  • All duties pertinent to teaching, including curriculum development, mentoring, advising, participating in program assessment and review, and maintaining office hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work with a diverse student and faculty body.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of student preparation in the classroom.

Education and Experience

  • Ph.D. in Biology, Cell & Molecular Biology, or a related area is required.
  • Post-doctoral experience is a plus.
  • Prior teaching experience is strongly desired.
