AmeriCorps VISTA Member - Prison Education Grants and Development Member

Summary:

The Prison Education Grants and Development Member is a volunteer position that will work to identify and procure funds from grant and other sources to complement the principal funding source of Department of Education Second Chance Pell experiment.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Discover and understand current funding models for education.
• Develop new funding sources for the corrections education program.
• Develop systems and procedures to support grant-making and development efforts in the future.
• Work with the Lincoln University Grants Office, Office of Financial Affairs, Development Offices and Prison Education Workgroup.
• Contribute to the day-to-day management of the program.
