Position Summary:

This is a 9-month tenure-track teaching appointment; fringe benefits-eligible position with summer research opportunity.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Teach 12 credit hours per semester
  • Develop academic program and curriculum for agriculture major
  • Serve as an academic advisor for animal science students
  • Write extramural grants
  • Conduct research in their area of expertise
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective and interpersonal communication skills and willingness to work with diverse faculty and students are essential.
  • Ability to develop an academic program
  • Write extramural grants
  • Conduct research in their area of expertise
  • Publish in peer-review journals
  • Provide innovative ideas in the subject area, and develop an attractive curriculum for agricultural majors.

Education and Experience

PH.D. in Animal Science or related field, with teaching experience.
